Careers at Mitchell Tax Law
Join a Dallas tax firm where you will work directly on substantive IRS and state tax matters from day one.
Why Work With Us
Our firm focuses on tax controversy and tax planning. That narrow focus means our attorneys and staff develop real expertise quickly. We handle IRS and state audits, appeals, U.S. Tax Court litigation, collections, penalty abatement, and complex tax planning for individuals and businesses. You will not be siloed into routine work. You will see how matters move from the first client call through resolution.
We are led by a former IRS attorney, and we bring that inside perspective to everything we do. We value clear writing, careful analysis, and treating clients with candor and respect. If that describes how you like to work, we would like to hear from you.
Who We Look For
- Tax attorneys. Licensed attorneys with an interest in or background in federal and state tax controversy. An LL.M. in Taxation is a plus but is not required.
- Law clerks and interns. Law students who want hands-on exposure to tax controversy work and legal research and writing.
- Paralegals and legal assistants. Organized professionals who keep cases moving, manage deadlines, and communicate well with clients and government agencies.
- Administrative and client-services staff. People who are the first point of contact for clients and who keep the office running smoothly.
What We Offer
Meaningful, substantive work with direct mentorship; a collegial, low-bureaucracy environment; and the chance to build a genuine specialty in tax law. We invest in our people and in their professional development.
